His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha, Second Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Mbarara.

His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha was officially installed Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Mbarara and Metropolitan of Mbarara by the Apostolic Nucio Luigi Bianco on 20th June 2020. His Grace Labert Bainomugisha was born on 12th July 1961 at Kashumba, Buhungiro Parish, in Bukanga, Isingiro District.

We are a Roman Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Mbarara called to share in the goodness of God through Service according to Jesus Christ by living a Christian life among God's people.

The Archdiocese of Mbarara is located in Western Uganda. It is one of the 19 Catholic Dioceses in Uganda. The Archbishop of Mbarara is Rt. Rev. Lambert Bainomugisha who succeeded Most Rev. Paul K. Bakyenga on June 20th, 2020. There are a total of 180 priests most of whom are serving in the 55 parishes of the archdiocese and several Catholic institutions within and outside the Diocese. The people of Mbarara are predominantly Christian. The Catholic faith was brought to Mbarara by the Missionaries of Africa.
