Chrism Mass Celebrated in Mbarara

The faithful of Mbarara today joyfully gathered for the solemn celebration of the Chrism Mass, presided over by the Bishop together with priests from across the diocese.
The Chrism Mass, traditionally held during Holy Week, is a special liturgy that highlights the unity of the Church. During the celebration, priests renewed their priestly promises, reaffirming their commitment to serve God and His people faithfully.
A central part of the Mass was the blessing of the Holy Oils the Oil of the Sick, the Oil of Catechumens, and the Sacred Chrism. These oils will be used throughout the year in the administration of sacraments such as Baptism, Confirmation, Anointing of the Sick, and Holy Orders in all parishes of the diocese.
The celebration was marked by prayer, thanksgiving, and a strong sense of communion among clergy, religious, and the laity. It served as a powerful reminder of the mission of the Church and the call to holiness for all the faithful.
